How we approach it
Short films are where we get to build a world from the ground up — script development, cinematography, lighting design, and a full post pipeline, all in service of a story that has to land in minutes, not hours. We work with writer-directors from early development through a festival-ready master.
Most of our short film work is produced in and around Sacramento, giving us access to a wide range of locations — urban, rural, and everything in between — within a short drive of the crew and equipment. We collaborate closely with Sacramento-area writer-directors, and take on select projects from outside the region when the script is right.

Do you accept short film scripts from outside your existing clients?
Yes. We take on a limited number of outside short film projects each year — send a script or treatment and we’ll let you know if it’s a fit for our schedule and approach.
What’s the typical budget range for a short film?
It varies enormously with scope — cast size, locations, and shoot days all move the number. We’ll build a budget against your specific script rather than quote a generic range that doesn’t reflect your project.
Do you help with festival strategy after delivery?
We deliver a festival-spec master and can advise on submission strategy based on what we’ve learned from past projects, though festival selection itself is outside our control.
Can you shoot a short film outside the Sacramento region?
Yes, for the right project — we factor travel and location logistics into the budget and schedule during pre-production.
